Fix Gap Teeth in Osaka
At Smile Design Clinic, we use a number of treatments for closing gaps between teeth, depending on the needs of the patient and the severity of their condition.
Gap teeth, formally called “diastema”, is a common condition afflicting millions of people.
Typically, people with diastema have a gap between their upper-front teeth. However, gaps can appear anywhere in the mouth, and multiple gaps may be present. There are several reasons why gap teeth occurs, but often it's caused by a mismatch between a person's teeth and jaw size.
Many assume fixing gap teeth is expensive and time-consuming, so they avoid seeking treatment, even though their condition causes them stress and embarrassment. However, as you will learn, correcting gap teeth can be quick and cost-effective!
Direct Bonding is Fast, Easy and Low-Cost
About 90% of our patients close the gap in their teeth using a treatment known as direct bonding, or composite bonding.
This treatment uses tooth-colored resin that is applied, sculpted, and hardened to the sides of the teeth to make them wider. Since there is no lab work needed, nor much preparation to the teeth before treatment, the direct bonding method can fix gap teeth in a single appointment!
High Standards of Treatment
At Smile Design Clinic, we use a resin that looks completely natural and is matched to the color of the patient's teeth. This is an advanced material, strengthened by nano-sized ceramic particles for greater strength. After the resin is applied, it is carefully shaped and polished by our dentist so that it becomes indistinguishable from the tooth that it is bonded onto.
Our dentist has been trained and certified by the Japan Academy of Esthetic Dentistry, and has fixed gap teeth for hundreds of patients.
